Empowering Communities: Our Story

Empowering vulnerable communities for a brighter future, Action for Community Care was born in 2019 as a continuation of Sharing Worlds Tanzania’s 11 years of impactful work. Registered as an NGO with the number OONGO/R/0222, we’re dedicated to enabling access to basic needs for disadvantaged groups in Tanzania. Our four key focus areas are Health, Education, Livelihood, and Social Protection, while our work also involves addressing crosscutting issues such as the environment. From HIV/AIDS education to comprehensive support for vulnerable groups, and promoting gender equality and economic empowerment, we collaborate with communities, the government, donors, and partners to ensure community ownership and responsibility for our mission.
